WW2 BRITISH HELMET NET WITH ORIGINAL SCRIM CAMOUFLAGE BAND COMMANDO INDIAN

So, this one is kind of a mystery to me.
This net was found along with some US WWII memorabilia, from a service who served with the 1st ID (Likely as a replacement after Normandy). Based on the construction, it appears to be an Indian made net for a MKII brodie helmet. The camo scrim is typically more of a Normandy thing, so I don't know what to make of it.
Thick cotton cord construction with original brown and green scrim bands.
This net is presented on a M1917 US helmet, which is the closest helmet I have to a British WWII helmet. The helmet is NOT included in the sale and is used for display only.
