VINTAGE REVERSE PAINTED SILHOUETTE ADVERTISING COWBOY HORSE FIRE THERMOMETER DAVID P KING YORK PA.
Nice advertising thermometer Compliments of David P King, York, PA. Beautifully done old deco era piece reverse painted silhouette with a cowboy, campfire and a horse. Mountains, valley, river and a stage coach in the background. The thermometer works and the front and the reverse painting are beautifully done with exceptional detail. Nice seperation between reverse painting and background which casts a shadow inside the frame (more or less depending on the light). Picture front is in very good condition. Back has some issues, originally the string went through holes to be hung up.  There is a rod slid into the back in order for it to be hung, could be propped up or put on an easel also.  Measures a nice size inside frame at 7 1/2” by 5 3/8”.  Unmarked with whom manufactured this item.
