VINTAGE ORIGINAL ADVERTISING: RAMON'S BROWNIE PILLS SIGN. This sign came from the attic of a 1890s house next door to me. The elderly woman who'd lived there was born in the house and lived there until she relocated around 2015. It is definitely an original and not a copy!
The text reads "Diuretic Stimulating to the Kidneys. Ramon's Brownie Pills. The Little Doctor Brings Happy Days. Ramon's Pink Pills. A
Real
Laxative. (Periods included for clarity and are not in the text.)
The illustration shows a very young "doctor" in a tall hat and long coat with a doctor's coat underneath. He carries a doctor's bag with "Ramon's" on the side. The image is marked "Trade Mark."
There is some fading and discoloration on the sign, but the turquoise-green color of the little doctor's jacket, hat, and shoes is still vivid. There is some wear on the bottom. The thermometer still works!!!
