Vintage Newton Manufacturing Company Advertising Thermometer Newco # 1 Sample ??

Preowned estate sale item. Looks like it is dated 1990/91. I think it is an advertising sample. It is made of plastic and measures about 9" tall. Made in Newton Iowa. I would say it has never been used, but the packaging has been opened. Appears to be accurate.
