Tonka 2000 Motorized Rescue Helicopter Toy Large 19" Lights/Sound #03463 Works!
This vintage 2000 Tonka Rescue Helicopter Toy is in good overall condition! Works great....but has some small issues to go over! First....on the sides of the helicopter there was a white door that folded down to expose the gray equipment on the inside (They are both missing). Second....the search light on the underside of the helicopter is supposed to come on and stay on until your finger is released from the button (This is non-working). Maybe could easily be fixed if screws were removed. Third....there is a folding power winch on the side of the helicopter that can be raised and lowered by the black control lever (This works......but the cable and hook that came with it are missing. You can hear the motor for the winch working...but without the cable and hook it doesn't really matter). Has some minor scuffs and scrapes.
Now for the good points! First......the helicopter is AWESOME! Made in 2000...you don't see very many of this particular model! It is large! Measures 19" long x 8" tall!
Cockpit door raises and lowers to fit action figure that can be placed inside. The landing skids actually have wheels in them so the helicopter can roll across the floor. The round gray button on the side when pressed will turn the propeller blades on causing them to spin! At the same time they are spinning...flashing red lights on the front left and right side will alternate. The small black square buttons on the tail section when pressed do the following: The button closest to the tail will turn on the sirens and flashing red lights will alternate on the front left and right side. Second button will give the sound effect of a running helicopter with the same red lights flashing on the front left and right side. Both buttons when continuously held down...will also cause the sound effects to stay on until your finger is taken off of them. Copter operates on 4 "AA" batteries (not included). Battery compartment is 98% free of battery corrosion...but 1 spring is lightly corroded. This has no effect on the copter....it still functions perfectly!
