This piece has the classic "Rosenthal Germany hallmark on the bottom of the bird.
Measurements are approximately 5 3/4" tall

This beautiful hard to find bird figurine by Rosenthal, is from one of the fine porcelain makers in the world!
Founded in 1889 in Selb Bavaria by Phillip Rosenthal, the company is still in existence today producing high quality dinnerware and beautiful figurines. According to Judith Miller in her Buyers Guide to Ceramic Figures: Rosenthal work is relatively underrated; it is probably the nearest equivalent to Meissen but is far more affordable. This makes for incredible bargains for collectors as well as for anyone else looking to enrich their home with beautiful artwork.

The   color is  in true-to-life fashion, with the bird glazed to be very  realistic.
The details on the bird, such as its wings and feathers, is lovely.   The colors are vivid and bright.
Provenance:
The bird  figurine was from my family's collection and was in a glass case for the last 50 years, sitting next to many fine Meissen birds. See marking to date the bird  and my family's old Rosenthal catalogue  used to buy the birds many years ago.
