OLD ORIGINAL PRIMITIVE WOODEN FISH HANGING THERMOMETER FROM OLD ESTATE

A neat and novel primitive wooden fish hanging thermometer from an old Missouri estate of an 89 year old man. The thermometer has red fluid not mercury. The fish measures approximately 10 3/8 inches in length.
The old fish is worn as photographed and there might be a sliver of wood missing from the top tail fin although is is smooth but not the same color as the rest and even that has aged (see photograph).
The fish lines may have been burned in at that time but not sure. There is white pain on the fish as photographed. Us the photos as a major part of the description.
This piece falls into several collector areas like old thermometers and fishing collectibles. I could just see this thermometer hanging in an old minnow stand.
