    Description

    This is a huge train set made by Lionel to compete with the Thomas the Train sets. Yes, it is also compatible with Thomas the Train wooden railway systems but soooo much better than the Thomas trains - something few people know! Included are:
    - 100 sections of track (almost 54 feet!) that includes curves, straight sections of various lengths, straight and curved ascending/descending risers, left and right-hand turnouts and 90-degree crossovers. The tracks are designed with a snap-together feature that locks them together (unlike the loose-fitting Thomas wood tracks). The tracks are easily unlocked by pressing buttons on each end of the track (see last picture for example). Two of the track sections are Lionel-to-Thomas conversion tracks (one is shown in the last picture) so you can add this set to any Thomas layout you have.
    - 4 motorized locomotives (1 is brand NEW) with forward and reverse and headlights! You won't' find that in the common Thomas trains.
    - 7 passenger and freight cars. The passenger cars have lighted interiors, the freight cars have steam train related sounds.
    - 2 Working drawbridges with lights and activated sounds
    - 1 Train activated railroad crossing gate that raises and lowers
    - 2 Different versions of tunnels
    - 17 track risers
    - Assorted signs
    The trains, cars and operating accessories will require 8 standard "AA" and 14 "AAA" batteries (not included). ALL battery compartments are clean and free of any battery acid leaks.
