Tatami is made from rushes, a natural material, so it can regulate humidity. Because it contains a lot of air, it has excellent heat insulation and keeps the room cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Our tatami mat provides firm cushioning, allowing for enough comfort and stability. For added comfort, use our tatami mat with a futon.

Attention and Care for using rush products
Variations in color and size may occur due to natural materials
The tip and the base of the rush may have a different color contrast to the center part. This is a characteristic of the material and it is not a defect. The size or shape may be somewhat different from photographs due to the nature of the natural materials used.
Please wipe dry before use
Our rush products are mud-dyed for sun protection and colored using dyed earth. It is harmless to the human body but while the product is new, traces of soil may be found in the product, and it may cause staining to clothing. To prevent this, please dry wipe the product before use.
How to cope with mold
Please use our rush products in a well-ventilated room if possible. Please dry the products in a shady spot on a sunny day for 2 to 3 hours. If mold occurs, dry in the shade for 2 hours on a sunny day, tap lightly to get rid of the mold, and brush the product to finish the process. This should be done in a well-ventilated place. If rush products or tatami are old, there is less chance of mold growing. However new products still contain nutrients for mold to grow on, and this is the reason mold can develop on a new product. To prevent this, rush products should be dried often in the shade for several hours on a sunny day.
Precautions
If left laying on the floor for a long time, adverse effects may occur in rare cases such as crimping on flooring materials and discoloration. To prevent this, please move occasionally or clean and ventilate once a week.
