    Description

These delightful child's beaded moccasins were sent to New Zealand from Canada in 1903 by my mother's uncle, who emigrated to Canada. He sent them as a curiosity. They had already been worn by a small child. Not sure what area of Canada that they came from.
One is in excellent condition but the other moccasin has lost its black  velvet binding around one side. The soles show light wear.
Bead work is original and intact.
They are 15 cm (6 inches) long and 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide at the widest point.
    Smoke free household.
We feel that these should go back to where they originated.
