    Description

    Up for your consideration  single candlestick by Antoni Riedel and most likely made at the end of the 19th century. He was active for over 70 years as a fine Goldsmith. The history of the time was an occupied Poland by Germans and Russians and Warsaw was a Russian Jewish community. This piece measures 10 1/2 inches tall and hollow and light. The feet carry the grape leaf motif as seen on his other work. This silversmith made stunning pieces for the affluent in Warsaw and also pieces that were more affordable, and i assume this to be for the higher middle class of the time. Please zoom at the pictures for a better understand of the condition as there are scratches and bents. This piece was cleaned with silver foam and we do not keep a kosher home.
