    Description

    Diaper Dan, as this figure dated 1949 is known, is holding a thermometer that still displays a fairly accurate temperature after 70+ years.  He is made of a hard composition-type material that was popular in the 1940's.  I would rate his condition as good to very good.  There are a few dings and scratches on him, his diaper is no longer bright white, and somehow some green paint got on the bottom of the base, but that, of course, doesn't show when he is displayed.  The gold cardboard card to which the thermometer is attached has a couple of light creases, but it's all there.
